On October 14, 1947, Chuck Yeager went higher and faster than anyone had ever flown before. Aviation and the sound barrier were never the same.
On October 14, 1967, Jennifer Maxwell, jumped higher and cheered louder than ever before. As a Butler High Class of 1968 - "Cheerleader" - it was her charge.
But, more than that, it was her nature and her passion to urge her team and school and classmates on with the energy and enthusiasm and spirit of a true pioneer.
Congratulations Jennifer, on a job well done!! We know it was hard work as evidenced by the picture below.
Also as evidenced on the wall below --
You cast a large shadow for those who followed.
Jennifer has agreed to
be an Adopted, "Honorary Classmate"
of our 40th Reunion.
She was a big part of our Senior Year
(and she has more pictures in our
1967 "Rebel" than we do!)
You can tell that Jennifer has flown high, already landed, and was the first to soar.
Moments to Remember!
We think the cheerleader who forwarded us some old pictures thinks Harold Levie shot this. Thank you ladies and Harold (whereever you may be) for bringing us memories like these and capturing them forever!
